Introduction to Basha Hmong Village (岜沙苗寨) Basha means lush growth of trees and grass in Hmong, Basha village is located in Congjiang county, Guizhou Province, consisting of five natural villages, has a total of four hundred twenty-two family, known as the " living fossil of Hmong culture." it is a pure Hmong village. The village still retains the ancient and historic production style. Native Miao people have been saved in this ancient customs for a long time. Hair bun, guns and trees are the " three treasures" in this village. Here, you can experience the long history of precipitation, the original mystical folklore, pure , honest, simple and brilliant folk culture. Basha Hmong Village is known as " the last gunmen tribe under the sun." The costume here is Qin and Han dynasty style, Basha man carry powder shotgun and dagger, like an ancient warrior. Women wore bright cloth produce by their own, and wear silver. If a guests comes to Baisha village, a mighty man in front of village gate will playing Lusheng and Mangtong. Basha girls with hold a horn cup with rice wine for the guest. |
