Introduction to Chinese New Year Night Parade

Chinese New Year is one of the most exciting times to visit Hong Kong as the city is colorful and lively! One of the best ways to enjoy the fantastic Chinese New Year is of course to go and the Hong Kong Chinese New Year Parade. The parade features colorful floats, dragon dance performances, marching bands, dancers, cheerleaders and the festive firecrackers can be heard. There are over 30 floats and performing groups from notable organizations, sponsors include Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Disneyland, Ocean Park and Ngong Ping 360.

The parade starts at Hong Kong Cultural Center and makes its way through Tsim Sha Tsui. It then continues along the north of Canton Road and turns at Haiphong Road and then South on Nathan Road to arriving back at the waterfront by Salisbury Road then ending at the front of Sheraton Hotel.

2019 Chinese New Year Parade Date

The parade takes place on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 and officially commences at 8:00PM, however it is advised that you arrive a few hours earlier as it will be crowded, so if you want a good view of the parade its best to arrive earlier so you can choose your spot.

Ticket Information   

Admission for Spectator Stands: HK$480, HK$450, HK$300 (Per Person) 
Stand Tickets are available to buy on February 5, 2019 at 8:00AM. 

Tickets are available at the ticket stands at HK Tourism Office at the Star Ferry in Tsim Sha Tsui and there is normally a limit of 4 tickets per person
