Introduction to Lushan Waterfalls

Lushan Waterfalls is located in Mount Lushan National Park in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province. It is in fact a complex of waterfalls hidden in a deep gully. Among them the highlight is the three-tier cascades, Sandiequan Waterfall. the The waterfalls has been widely recognized as one of the top ten spectacular waterfall in China.

Lushan Waterfalls encompasses 22 waterfalls including Sandiequan Waterfall, Kaixian Waterfall, Shimenjian Waterfall, Wangjiapo Waterfall, Yulianquan Waterfall and etc., 18 rapids, and 14 ponds falling from Wulao Peak, stricking against bizzard rocks and precipitous cliffs below. The drastic rushing of water produces foam, mist and a special roar. Among the three tiers, the third one is the longest and biggest.

For a thousand years, Lushan Waterfalls have been admired and eulogized in songs and poems. Among them, Libai's Gazing at Lushan Waterfalls is the most circulated one. It extols the dazzling splendor of Lushan Waterfalls under the sunlight. 

The most common way for visitors to access Lushan Waterfalls is to take a cable car, followed by 1500-step walk to the top observational spot.

Ticket: inclusive in entrance ticket to Mount Lushan which charges as below

CNY 180 from April 1 to November 31

CNY 135 from December 1 to March 31 of next year

Transportation 

1. Bus: from Long-Distance Bus of Jiujiang City to Mount Lushan, departing every 30 minutes (CNY 9 and 1 hour).

2. Tour bus: from the Square of Jiujiang Railway Station (bus fee: CNY 15 and 50 minutes).

Travel Tips 

1. Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours

2. Avoid visiting during school holidays and Golden Week in October as there will be large numbers of local tourists.
