Introduction to Nine Colour Rose Town (九色玫瑰小镇) Lijiang Nine Colour Rose Town is situated in Jinlong Village in and is made up of various ethnic minority groups and over the past few years has attracted an increasing amount of visitors and attention around the world for its unique designs and colourful houses. Established in 2006 Jinlong Village is now home to 20 hectares of fields of edible roses and has more than 300,000 rose trees hence its name Nine Colour Rose Town. An estimated 80% of the houses in the village have been painted with pleasant colours and 3D wall paintings which have earned Jinlong the name "Rose Town". More interestingly in 2016 the village earned a Guiness World Record for the longest anamorphic pavement art measuring 391.93 meter which was achieved by Yang Yongchun and Nine Color Rose Town on 1 October 2016. |
