Introduction to The Section of Old City Walls (旧城墙遗址)
The Section of Old City Walls is remains of Macau’s military defense structures, the old city wall of Macau that was constructed as early as 1569 to defense outside attacks by the Portuguese. The remaining city wall has a length of 18.5 meters, a height of 5.6 meters, and a width of 1.08 meters. The uniqueness of the city wall lies in the material to build the wall. They are built in a rammed earth structure with materials of clay, sand, rice straw, rocks, and oyster shells. |

Transportation 1. You can take bus No. 3, 3X, 4, 6A, 8A, 18A, 19, 26A, 33, N1A, 2A, 7A, 8, 9, 9A, 12, 18, 22, 25, 25X, or H1, and then get off at the Section of Old City Wall Stop. 2. The most convenient way to there is take a taxi. |
