	Introduction to Binhai Library (滨海图书馆) Tianjin Binhai Library was opened to the public in 2017 after a three year construction period. The library was designed by Rotterdam based company MVRDV and Tianjin Urban Planning and Design Institute. During the first week after opening day an estimated 10,000 people visited a day causing queues outside. The library has earned itself the nickname “The Eye” and is currently one of the hottest attractions of Tianjin. The library has a total of 5 levels and contains 1.2 million books which are can be found in the terraced bookshelves.

	Travel Information Admission: Free

	Transportation 1. The easiest way to reach Binhai Library is to take TRT Line 9 getting off at People's Square and walk another 2 kilometers to reach the library.

	Travel Tips 1. Try to avoid visiting Binhai Library during Golden Week and summer holidays where the crowds and number of visitors will be substantially higher than usual.
