Sichuan Province, short as Shu, lies in the southwest of China and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It borders Chongqing to the east, Qinghai, Gansu and Shaanxi to the north, Yunnan and Guizhou to the south, Tibet to the west. It covers a land of 485,000 square kilometers. Chengdu serves as its capital city.
