It only takes 90 minutes from Qingdao to Jinan by G196.If you want to travel from Shijiazhuang to Taiyuan, G91 and D2009 are your best choices which only take 1 hour and 17 minutes.
Shanghai–Wuhan–Chengdu high-speed rail line will connect the major cities from the east to the west of China including Shanghai,Nanjing,Hefei, Wuhan , Chongqing,and Chengdu.It is not fully operational with a length of 1,600 kilometers.High-speed trains have an average speed of 200 km/h to 250 km/h on this line except from Yichang to Wanzhou which is limited to 160 km/h for the landforms in the area.

Shanghai–Kunming high-speed rail line will connect East China,Central China and Southwest China after completion.It will link coastal Shanghai to landlocked Kunming and pass though the provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guizhou and Yunnan.
The Shanghai–Kunming high-speed rail line has a length of 2,080 kilometers and the target cruising speed is 300 km/h with a top speed of 350 km/h.
This line is divided into three sections: Shanghai to Hangzhou,Hangzhou–Changsha and Changsha–Kunming.It is partly operational from Shanghai to Hangzhou.The other parts are still under construction.
