Dalian Railway Station is situated in the southern end of Liaodong Peninsular. It was built in 1935 and was once the largest railway station in Asia. The station was reconstructed and expanded in 2002, and was put into use in 2003. The current Dalian Railway Station has a construction area of 30,000 square meters and is able to hold a capacity of 6,000 passengers. The station consists of south station building, north station building and overhead waiting room.
Dalian Railway Station is situated in the Beijing–Harbin High-Speed Railway and is the terminal of Shenyang-Dalian Railway Line. From Dalian Railway Station, passengers can take trains to many other cities, including Beijing, Shenyang, Changchun, Jilin, Baotou, Harbin, Daqing, Zhengzhou, etc.
