It is said a Beijing tour is not complete if not visiting Shichahai area. So I was wondering what’s special about Shichahai, or what to enjoy at Shichahai area. Thanks for your information.

Re RE:Baron : Shichahai is regarded as the area where the most authentic and local Beijing culture and lifestyle are preserved. There you can experience the local Beijing life, go sightseeing for Hutong and Siheyuan. You can ride a rickshaw, watch temples, residences and mansions.

Re RE:Baron : When I went to Shichahai area, I had a cruise at the Shichahai Lake. It was quite a pleasant experience. Also my friends and I went to learn local Beijing culture, like paper cutting, making a kite, doing embroidery and new year’s painting, listen to Peking opera by local people. We also had a great time at Shichahai Bar Street.
