The southeastern portion is called Zone One of Panjiayuan Market. In this area you can find an array of Chinese paintings, calligraphy as well as beads and jade items. Tourists should be aware that most paintings and calligraphy art are mass produced and prices should not be overly expensive.

The southwestern section (zone 3) is suitable for visitors who are interest in Chinese Ethnic Minority items. There is particularly a lot of Tibetan crafts, antiques and trinkets in zone 3.

Chinese ceramics take up most space in Zone 4, the northwestern section. Shoppers should be aware that not tall ceramics are genuine antiques but mostly very good imitations.
