Introduction to Mount Emei (峨眉山)
Mount Emei is located in the southwest of Sichuan Basin. It is one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains in China. It lies 7 kilometers to Emeishan city to the west and 37 kilometers away from Leshan city to the east. Mount Emei together with the Giant Stone Buddha at Leshan Mountain has been included on the list of world cultural and natural heritage by UNESCO in 1996. |
