Introduction to Wong Fei Hung Memorial Hall Wong Fei Hong Memorial Hall is located in the north part of the Ancestral Temple, covering an area of more than 5,000 square meters. The completion ceremony of Wong Fei Hong Memorial Hall was held on January 14, 2001. The building is modeled on the wok-handle fire-walled house of the Qing Dynasty. It reproduces the style of folk residence and ancestral temple when Wong Fei Hong – the great martial master. The building is divided into a show room. Wong Fei Hong Cinema, a hall and patio for practicing Wushu, all of these represent the charism of the great master to the life.
The memorial hall architecture reflects the ancient Chinese architecture , especially the traditions of Lingnan style ancient buildings, the preservation of the traditional courtyard -style residential building codes from the beams, column bases, brick, cornices, screens, doors and windows to steeplechase and other building components in order to preserve the historical charm. The support facilities include the statue booth of "10 Wushu Masters of Guangdong Province" and Wong Fei Hong Park as well as traditional performances such as Kung Fu, "dragon-playing" and "lion-playing", which will be duly performed from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. All these performances are attractive to many domestic and overseas tourists. In addition, there are Huang Fei Hong screen and video town, Huang Fei Hong Martial Arts School and Huang Fei Hong Wushu Village. |
