Hangzhou Phoenix Mosque is one of the largest mosques in China and also one of the great four ancient mosques in China. Phoenix Mosque is also known as Fenghuang Mosque, it is located in Zhongshan Road in Hangzhou. Phoenix Mosque was first built during the Tang Dynasty. The mosque has undergone several restorations and reconstructions before the current mosque was formed. Phoenix Mosque covers an area of 2,600 square meters with and construction area of 1,370 square meters.

The construction and structure of Phoenix Mosque applied the style of Arabic Muslim, also it combines ancient Chinese architecture styles. The complex of Phoenix Mosque is consisted of the entrance hall, the auditorium, the prayer hall, water room, morgue, etc. The prayer hall occupies 570 square meters.

Phoenix Mosque is also a national key cultural protection unit with the many cultural relics preserved in the mosque. There are many ancient steles and inscriptions to see in the mosque. Also the exquisite artworks like wooden sculptures and inscriptions in the mosque are of great value.
