Introduction to Happy Valley Racecourse (跑马地马场) Happy Valley Racecourse was first built in 1845 for the British people of Hong Kong to enjoy horse racing. It has now become an indispensable part of daily life for the majority of Hong Kong people. Happy Valley Racecourse is located between Wanchai and Causeway Bay at the heart of Hong Kong Island. It is the world's few urban racecourses, which can accommodate more than 55,000 spectators, is the best choice for watching the night race on Happy Wednesdays. Happy Valley Racecourse atmosphere is truly amazing, especially during the night races where the amazing scenery from the racecourse is unique. Watching the races are thrilling with the excitement of the crowds. The Happy Valley Racecourse has become part of Hong Kong’s culture and a leisure activity for the locals. The racing season is from September until June to join in the fun and try your luck at the races you can put down a bet for $10. |
