Introduction to Suiyuan General Government Office (绥远城将军衙署) General Government Office in Hohhot is one of the national cultural heritages in China, it was located in the new municipal area of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia during the Qing Dynasty under the rule of Yongzheng. In order to strengthen the defense power of the northwest area, the new city was built. During the Qianlong Period, the city was officially completed. In secession, General Government Office was set here for administration. The General Government Office covers an area of 15,000 square meters and has front gate with two stone lions at each side. Within the courtyard there is the main hall, Wutang and Gongxie. |
