Introduction to Abakh Hoja Mausoleum
Located in Haohan Village, five kilometers northeast of Kashgar, Abakh Hoja Mausoleum is an important cultural-relics protected by the Autonomous Region.Built in 1640,Qing Dynasty,as the tomb of the descendants of an Islamic sage, it is comprised by a series of classic Islam ancient buildings. The Abakh Hoja Mausoleum is 40 meters in height. The main buildings include the gate tower, a big mosque, a small mosque, a classics hall and a major burial chamber. The Tomb Hall is 39 meters long and 26 meters high at the base with a dome shaped top. The tombs are all decorated with glazed bricks which are very beautiful. |
