Introduction to Macau Grand Prix Museum (澳门大赛车博物馆)

For any F1 enthusiasts, the Grand Prix Museum is a tourist attraction that should not be missed out in Macau. The Grand Prix Museum is a motor racing museum in Macau. It was inaugurated in November 1993 to celebrate the 40th Macau Grand Prix. The museum is located in Tourist Activity Center, next to Macau Wine Museum.

The Macau Grand Prix started in 1954 and now it attracts racing fans from all over the world to watch and enjoy the competition every November of the year. The Grand Prix Museum is dedicated to remember great moments of the Grand Prix and also building a closer and stronger relationship between the local people and this grand competition. Exhibits of photos, videos, illustrated articles, cups, records of champions and some commemorative items are all related to the Grand Prix events.

The Grand Prix Museum is quiet an interesting museum. There are over 20 racing cars and motorcycles once participated the Great Prix and driven by world-renowned drivers such as Eduarfo de Carvalho, Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard are exhibited in the museum. What’s more, from the projection device in the museum visitors can know the structure of the museum and watch real scenes of the Grand Prix. Even tourists can experience driving racing cars in the museum.

1. You can take bus No. 1A, 3, 3A, 10, 10A, 10B, 12, 17, 23, 28A, 28B, 28C, 32 and get off at Rua de Luís Gonzaga Gomes, New Reclaimation Area, not far from Centro Cultural de Macau.

Travel Tips

1. The museum is inside Macau Tourism Activities Center, together with Macau Wine Museum.

2. It is not recommended to visit there during “May 1st” and “October 1st” these two golden vacation weeks. Because at that time, the hotel reservation and transportation will be in its climax, the price will be much higher than ordinary times.
