Introduction to Maritime Museum (澳门海事博物馆)
Being the oldest museum in Macau, the Maritime Museum is a major attraction to visit in Macau. It is situated in the Square of the Barra Pagoda, which was believed to be the place the first group of Portuguese set foot in Macau. The museum was inaugurated in 1987 and was put into use in 1990. Sitting next to the A-Ma Temple, the Maritime Museum that is shaped in a sailing ship resembles an imposing anchored boat in the harbor protecting the A-Ma Temple.

Admission for Maritime Museum:
Monday to Saturday:
10 - 17 years old: 5 patacas
18 - 65 years old: 10 patacas
10 - 17 years old: 3 patacas
18 - 65 years old: 5 patacas
(Free for children under 10 years old and adults over 65.)
Opening Hours: 10:00AM to 5:30PM (Closed on Tuesday)
1. It is not recommended to visit there during “May 1st” and “October 1st” these two golden vacation weeks. Because at that time, the hotel reservation and transportation will be in its climax, the price will be much higher than ordinary times.
