Introduction to Baofeng Lake Scenic Area (宝峰湖景区)
Baofeng Lake Scenic Area, part of the larger Wulingyuan Scenic Area – specifically, the Suoxi Valley subsection – of Hunan Province that was listed as a World Heritage site in 1992, is situated on and around Mount Baofeng in the northern part of the province, not far from the metropolis of Changde. Baofeng Lake Scenic Area comprises some 275 hectares, and consists of Baofeng Lake and Yingwo Stockade Village. |

Transportation 1. You can first take a special coach (11 Yuan, 40 minutes) at Zhangjiajie Long-distance Bus Station to Wulingyuan District and then hire a taxi (10 Yuan) or take public bus No.2 (1 Yuan) to the lake. |

Travel Tips 1. Best time to visit there is in April, May, August and September. 2. The recommended duration for a visit about 3 hours.
