Daocheng, Yading, Kangding, Chengdu, Danba, and Xinduqiao Photographic Journey - Part 2

Day 5: Daocheng – Riwa – Yading
After breakfast, drive over the 4200M high mountain and arrive at the Riwa (four hours), on the half-way visit the Langjiling Temple in Daocheng Gong Ling County. In the afternoon, drive through the canyon in the small Gongga Mountains, heading forward the “last Shangri-La” (four hours). Along the way, we can know about the ecological environment, subalpine rare plants, and forest vegetation of the small Gongga Snow Mountain area. The Yading Village is located in the Hengduan Mountains area. Because of the very special climatic conditions and geographical natural conditions, there is lush barley and potato in the village, so the locals called small Gongga Mountain as the holy mountains. In the evening, arrive at Longlongba Hotel.
Day 6: Yading Village – Chonggu Temple – Luorong cattle farm - Yading Village - Daocheng
Go to worship the holy mountains in the ancient Gongga Chonggu Temple, the Mani Prayer Stones, the ZhuoMaLaCuo Lake, as well as the holy XianNaiRi Mountain, where you can overlook the XiaNuoDuoJi Mountain, YangMaiYong Mountain, indulging in the fantasy land. In the afternoon drive back to Daocheng.
Day 7: Daocheng – Yajiang (Xinduqiao)
Today go to worship the founder of White Sect and Bangpu Temple, as well as seeing the Millennium footprints and rock paintings. Take a break beside the river, and taste the famous plateau yellow croaker.
Day 8: Xinduqiao – Kangding – Chengdu
In the morning, walk to Kangding from Xinduqiao, and then reach the Dadu River (the largest and deepest canyon in western Sichuan), through the longest road tunnel (Erlang Mountain Tunnel), Chengya highway and back to Chengdu. Happy ending journey!
Day 9: Chengdu – Airport
Today just leisure in Chengdu City and then head for the airport and ready for home!
Travel Tips:
1 patients with hypertension, heart disease, asthma are not proper for this trip.
2 moderate drinking butter tea, dairy products and other beverages can enhance the ability to adapt to the climate of the plateau.
3 enter the plateau, suggest plenty of rest, and drink plenty of water to eat more fruits, ban alcohol and tobacco. Do not run and strenuous exercise.
4 Tibetan areas are the special areas, group members live in harmony, respect for ethnic culture and faith.
