One of the biggest dilemmas while visiting abroad is finding a good place to eat. Though you can find a large number of restaurants serving country’s specific dishes, but you will always try to find a place where dishes belonging to your homeland are available. Macau is one of the most beautiful holiday destinations across the globe. When I visited the place with my wife, I was having trouble finding good Indian food serving place. However, luckily there is one chain of restaurants with an outlet in Macau which will serve you a great quality Indian food. Eating at this place was one of the cherishing experiences in Macau.

Location

This restaurant is called ‘Taste of India.' This restaurant is located at Avenida Dr. Sun Yat Sen, No. 1337, R/C 1st Floor, Vista Magnifica Court, Macau. It is said to be the biggest restaurant in Macau, this place is also known for best quality food and great taste. Eating a meal at this place will make you feel as if you are eating at some place in India. It is one of the most popular restaurants and is located near to MGM Grand Casino. It is one the main road only. As mentioned earlier, it is a part of a restaurant chain with two other restaurants Taste of India at Fisherman's Wharf and Red Chili.

Opening Hours & Prices

Taste of India restaurant is open from 11.00AM to 3.00PM for lunch and 7.00PM to 11.00PM for dinner. You can dine in for having delicious Indian cuisines. We went to the restaurant for dinner after a long day visiting around the town. A wide range of Indian food is available at this place in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian categories. And above all, prices of these dishes are quite economic. Veg curries like Alu Gobi cost around HK$48 while Palak paneer costs nearly HK$78. A tandoori roti costs around HK$19 and a butter parauntha cost HK$23. If you are visiting with a family, you should opt for a combination of 7 types of roti/naan which costs around HK$136.

For those who like to drink, there is a good bar that serves beer, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks. Taste of India is the only restaurant to offer you free water as in the other restaurants you have to buy bottled water.
