Xiamen is a beautiful seaside city, with two shining pearls - Gulangyu and Jimei.

Gulangyu Island, however, has become more and more crowed with visitors from everywhere. As its leisure and romantic life style, Gulangyu Island has become a hot tourist destination in China, especial for couples and those who enjoy the old Taiwanese style buildings.

Jimei is another good place to visit in Xiamen, where fulfill with beautiful scenery and historic atmosphere. It is one of six districts of Xiamen. Speaking of Jimei, we must mention Chen Jiageng, also known as Tan Kah Kee, whose life was closely linked with Xiamen and Jimei. Chen Jiageng was a leader of overseas Chinese, actively supporting Sun Yat-sen’s revolution, supporting the Chinese Communist Party and the new Chinese revolution and construction. And the Tan Kah Kee Memorial Museum in Jimei was built to commemorate him.

Jimei has a rich history and vibrant culture. It hosts modern facilities such as universities, a culture center, cinema, stadium, library and culture square. Jimei is also the educational hub of Xiamen with over 90 years of history. Chen Jiageng established the Jimei Educational Institution. This is a complete educational system which consists of kindergarten, primary school, middle school to high school.

There is also beautiful seaside scenery, Kah Kee Park, as well as the Jimei University in Jimei. Enjoy some pictures in Jimei.
