Beijing Road Pedestrian Street

The first stop of the tour was Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, where was great to enjoy the prosperous Guangzhou daily life and colorful nightlife.

Beijing Road Pedestrian Street is famous commercial street in Guangzhou as a busy place with shoppers packing both sides of the road. At the center of the street, there are a few historical sites protected by plexiglass. Walking along the street, you can not only be immersed youself into the dazzling stores and buy various kinds of local items and food, you can also get close to the well-preserved stone roads of Song and Yuan Dynasties from 11th to 14th Centuries.

Said goodbye to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, our trip extended to Shishi Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral, a attraction to appreciate the special European structure and got a glimpse of fusion of Chinese and Western culture.

The Shishi Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral is the Roman Catholic Diocese of Guangzhou. Sitting by side of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, it is truly a famous structure of both religious and historic significance. Since the Cathedral is entirely constructed of granite, it is sometimes referred to as “the Stone House” or “Shishi”.
