Art Deco The France China Connection Exhibition Opens

Supported by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, “Art Deco: The France-China Connection” opens in CityU (City University of Hong Kong) from March 6 to June 30, 2019. The gallery showcases more than 300 pieces of Art Deco-style exhibits, including furniture, sculptures, paintings, posters, costumes, ceramic glassware, vases, jewellery, and other precious objects from museums, institutions and private collectors in France, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The exhibition examines not only the origins of Art Deco in France, but also the influence of Chinese arts and craftsmanship on the development of this important art movement.
