Mid Autumn Festival Mooncake
Mooncake is a kind of Chinese bakery pastries to be eaten at the Chinese traditional Mid-autumn Festival. Mooncakes are considered as an indispensable delicacy for lunar worship and moon watching when celebrating the Mid-autumn Festival with family or friends. Usually mooncakes are dense, rich and heavy of round or rectangular shapes, but the flavor of mooncakes vary by different fillings. Under a layer of thin skin, there usually encloses lotus seed paste, or the yolk of a preserved salted egg. Some mooncakes use green tea, pineapple or peanuts paste.
