Introduction: The Harbin Ice and Snow Festival has been held since 1963 and briefly stopped due to the Cultural Revolution and resumed in 1985 and is now an international event attracting thousands of visitors each year.

Activities & Attractions:
There are a range of winter activities for adventure seekers such as: skiing, snowboarding, winter swimming and sledging. For those who are more interested in sightseeing there is the ice sculpting on Sun Island, the Zhaolin Park ice-lantern exhibition and of course the wonderful fireworks which light up the sky at night.
