The affected areas by the unfortunate earthquake are only limited to Sino-Nepal border, including Zhangmu boarder town, Gyirong, Nyalam, Tingri, Gyangze, and Mt. Everest. Therefore, tourists are unable to travel to these places. Also Shigatse and Nagri are closed for the reason of relief and rescue. But most areas in Tibet including Lhasa, Nyingch, Lhoka, Chamdo, Lake Namtso, Lake Yamdrok, Tsedang, and Nagqu are not affected by the earthquake, and tour itineraries to these places work as normal.
