Calligraphy was the most prized art forms in antediluvian China. Since similar tools and lines were used for the earliest painting and writing, painting is said to have the same origin as Chinese calligraphy.

The use of lines and strokes is one of the major characteristics of Chinese painting which make it distinct from other traditions of paintings in the world.


Every child learns how to use traditional brush to write from primary school.  Today you are a student of Grade 1.

In this 1-hour class, you will be given a Chinse name, and your teacher will tell you how to write your own name in Chinese.  And you will learn some basic skill to write in Chinese.
