Guilin is a prefecture-level city located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Southern China. The Guilin city standing on the west bank of the beautiful Li River boasts “the best mountain and water scenery under heaven”. As one of the most renowned tourist destinations in China, Guilin attract numerous tourists from home and abroad for its spectacular vistas of green mountains and crystal blue waters.
Covering an area of 27,800 square meters, Guilin is also a historic and cultural city with a history more than 2,000 years. It has been the political, economic and cultural center of Guangxi since the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127).
