Xian overview

Xian is the capital of Shaanxi Province in northeast China. Being one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals in China and the capital for 13 dynasties in ancient times, Xian is one of the birthplaces of ancient Chinese civilization. With its numerous historical and cultural relics, now Xian is a hot tourist destination for tourists both home and abroad.

Xian has a history as long as 3,000 years and it was known as Chang’an before Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). When in Tang Dynasty, Xian was made the eastern terminal of the spectacular Silk Road. For tourists wanting to explore the glamour of the ancient Silk Road, Xian is a fantastic place to begin.
