Introduction to Zhijin Cave (织金洞)
Zhijin Cave is located in Minzhai Village of Zhijin County. Zhijin Cave was formerly known as Daji Cave and was first discovered in 1980. Zhijin Cave is like an underground karst palace and is divided into three layers and is claimed to be the largest cave with an unsupported roof span in the world. The dense stalactite formations stretch for 12 kilometers in the cave and there are more than 120 crystalline formations with the most famous being the “Silver Rain Tree which is 17 meters in length. The surrounding area of Zhijin Cave is known as Zhijin Cave Scenic Area and was named a national level tourist site in 1988. Other attractions within the scenic area are Zhijin Old Town and Luojie River Scenic Area.

1. At Guiyang long distance bus station there are direct buses to Zhijin Cave Scenic Area.
