	Introduction to Porcelain House (瓷房子) China House, also known as Procelain House, is a private museum of chinaware and antiques in Tianjin. Located on Chifeng Street, China House is originally a 100-year-old French style villa and refurnished into an unusual building decorated with million pieces of Chinese ancient porcelain by its owner Zhang Lianzhi. This original masterpiece is of great artistic value and the most eye-catching building in Tianjin. Under 4 years completion, China House is decorated with 4,000 pieces of ancient porcelain, 400 pieces of jade stone carving, 20 tons of crystal and agate. Moreover, 15,000 ancient porcelain bows, dishes and vases, 300 ancient porcelain-cat pillows, 300 stone lions and 300 marble sculptures have been used in the embellishment. Porcelain used to decorate the house can date back to the Han Dynasty and almost every type of chinaware can be found from the house. Besides, Chinese ancient furniture, woodcarving and paintings inside this 4-floor museum are all collected by its owner Zhang Lianzi. One of the painting is the world famous Mona Lisa, comprised by ceramic chips. A 768-meter-long dragon relievo and an English word “China” are embedded on the roof of the house. Outside, the walls of the house are named “Peace Wall”, consisting of 635 vases made during Republic China and the late Qing Dynasty. “Vase” sounds like “Peace” in Chinese that’s why the designer used vases to symbolize peace and prosperity. China House is located in a bustling area and attracts many passengers as well as tourists from home and abroad every day.
