Is Xinjiang suitable for families and elderly?Travelling to certain areas of Xinjiang is suitable for families and the elderly, however the car journeys are rather long and physical fitness of a certain level is required.

At the more tourist developed grassland scenic areas in Xinjiang, facilities are well equipped and accommodation can be arranged to be closer to the town where there are flushable toilets and shower facilities that are available.
What to look out for when shopping in Xinjiang?When shopping in Xinjiang do not bargain unless you have intentions in purchasing the item. Famous local produce of Xinjiang are dried fruits but when choosing the fruits do not use your hands to touch or pick up the fruits. At some stalls you are even allowed to taste the dried fruits but please do not try to take the samples away with you. Also please make sure you have cash when shopping as in most places you cannot pay with credit cards.
