Huanshan Tunxi Airport is located in Tunxi District of Huangshan City in Anhui Province. There is 5 kilometers to the downtown. Huangshan Airport is a first class national airport. Planes such as the Boeing 737 and MD 90 can take off and land there.
There are flights to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hefei, Tianjin, Haikou,Shenzhen, Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Xi'an, Guilin, Kunming, Xiamen,Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macau.
It costs 5 yuan to take the shuttle bus or 15 yuan for a taxi from the airport to the central Huangshan City. The air ticket offices are located on Huashan Road, Tunxi District, near Christ Church and Huangshan International Hotel.
The Huangshan Railway Station is located in Qianyuan Bei Lu, downtown Tunxi District. Wan-gan railway line (from Anhui Province to Jiangxi Province) runs through Huangshan City.
Many trains run directly to Beijing (about 19 hour's journey), Shanghai (eleven or twelve hour's journey), Guangzhou (about 19 hour's journey), Nanjing (five to eight hour's journey), Hefei, Jingdezhen, Nanchang (eight or nine hour's journey), Xiamen (about 23 hour's journey) and Fuzhou (14 or 15 hour's journey).
By Long-Distance Bus
There are two main bus stations in the city, one in the city center and one at the foot of the Mt. Huangshan Scenic Spot.Huangshan City Bus Station is near the railway station in Huangshan Dong Lu - 10 minutes on foot from the railway station.
Huangshan City is connected with Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Mt. Jiuhua, and Jingdezhen by national highways. In addition the Hui-Hang (from Anhui Province to Hangzhou City) highway, Hefei - Tongling - Mt.Jiuhua - Mt.Huangshan highway, Mt. Huangshan-Jingdezhen highway, and the round-Mt. Huangshan-highway form an efficient network for Huangshan City. There are luxury buses leaving Huangshan City everyday for the main cities in south China including Hangzhou (2.5-hour journey), Ningbo, Shanghai, Wuhan, Jingdezhen, Suzhou, Wenzhou, and Hefei.
