Introduction to Tian Tan Buddha (天坛大佛)
The giant bronze Tian Tan Buddha was built in 1993 and stands at a height of 34 meters and weighs 240 tons. If you so happened to reach Lantau Island via the Ngong Ping cable car then you will no doubt have seen the Tian Tan Buddha during the journey. Once you arrive at the Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminus you will find that you are not too far from the Tian Tan Buddha. |

Transportation 1. The most convenient way to reach Tian Tan Buddha is by taking the Ngong Ping Cable Car. You also have the option of taking the MTR and changing to the Tung Chung Line and getting off at Tung Chung Station and take Exit B and take a short walk to the cable car counter. |
