Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve to Slowly Reopen After Earthquake
UNESCO World Heritage Site Jiuzhaigou will reopen slowly after it suffered a magnitude 7 earthquake last August. Admission fees will be reduced to attract visitors, according to the governor of Aba Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture. Restoration was carried out by the government last November and will be completed in three years under investment of 11.8 billion yuan. Currently, many tourists not allowed into the Jiuzhaigou area go to visit Huanglong National Park instead, which hasn’t been affected.
