Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is now the world’s longest bridge over water. The bridge is set to open to vehicular traffic in 2018 but an exact date is yet to be confirmed. This is the first large scale infrastructure project to be developed jointly by the three regional governments of Guangdong Province, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region. The bridge has cut a originally 3 hour journey down to just 30 minutes and now links three of China’s most prosperous cities.
