Day 01 Macau day tour
Detailed Itinerary:

8:45AM: 
Take a ferry to Macau. Make your own way to the Shekou ferry terminal in Shenzhen. One-way ferry ticket from Shenzhen to Macau is included, which should be reserved in advance. After the scenic ferry ride for about 1 hour, disembark in Macau Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal at 9:45AM. Your tour guide will meet you at Room 1015 when Arrivals, and then start your exciting Macau day tour!
 
The day tour begins at visiting the ornate Temple of A-Ma, then continues on to the Ruins of St Paul's, the Old City Walls and the Mount Fortress. Buffet lunch will be provided at 4-star Rio Hotel, then Macau Tower (admission at own expense) and that will end the day.  
 
4:00PM: Transferred to your hotel in Macau, or you can choose to be dropped off at Macau Ferry Terminal and arrange your way back to Shenzhen or trip to Hong Kong.

Temple of A-Ma (UNESCO HERITAGE)
Matsu, goddess of the sea, is the faith of people in coastal Chinese area. People tend to worship Matsu for safety before voyage. Temple of A-Ma was built in Ming Dynasty(the year of 1488), dating back to 500 years ago.
 
Ruins of St Paul's (UNESCO HERITAGE)
Ruins of St Paul’s was the mother church of Catholicism in Macau, built in year of 1637. Its architectural style blends features of architecture of European Renaissance and the Oriental, with fine carvings and palatial outlook. The church relatively gone through fire for 3 times, only the main entrance was left in the last time, which witnessing the twists and turns of regression of Macau.
 
Old City Walls (UNESCO HERITAGE)
This surviving segment of City Wall was built in 1569. It is a remnant of an early Portuguese tradition of constructing defensive walls around their port settlements. It was enlisted as a World Heritage in 2005.
 
Mount Fortress (UNESCO HERITAGE)
The fortress was principal military defense structure in Macau, built in conjunction with the Jesuits form 1617 to 1626. The fortress covers an area of 10,000 square metres and is in the shape of a trapezoid. It has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005.
 
Macau Tower (Admission on own expenses)
The Macau Tower has been awarded "Best Theme Attraction in Asia Pacific" for 2005 & 2006 by TTG Asia. Soaring to breathtaking 223 meters above the ground, Macau Tower offers you a totally different vision of the entire city. Gaze out over to Cotai Strip, look for Macau's landmarks and historical sites all in one spot.
 
For those with fear of heights, there are also souvenirs shops, Mocha clubs (machine based casino gaming) and coffee shops located at the ground floor.

  • Your tour guide will meet you in Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal at 10am, not in Shenzhen.
