Detailed Itinerary: After the buffet breakfast at the hotel, your guide will transfer you to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to take a flight to Hohhot in Inner Mongolia.

Once you arrive in Hohhot, you’ll be transferred to a restaurant for lunch. After lunch, your guide will transfer you to the oldest and largest temple in the city – Dazhao Temple for sightseeing.

Dazhao Temple was built in 1579. It has a shrine that was dedicated to the renowned Qing emperor, Kangxi in the late 17th century and murals in the hallway that commemorate his visit. With its impressive collection of Buddhist scriptures, Dazhao Temple has become a popular tourist attraction in Hohhot.

Then, we will move to visit Sai Shang Old Street that features in architectural styles of Ming and Qing dynasties. You can shop for ethnic crafts, antique things and local products for gifts on this street.

Afterwards, your guide will take you to dinner once you have finished dinner you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Detailed Itinerary: Your guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to Xilamuren Grassland for a full day of sightseeing and fun.

Xilamuren Grassland is the first grassland tourist attraction opened in Hohhot and is famous for its spectacular scenery of lush green grass and beautiful flowers. Xilamuren Grassland is a famous summer resort around Hohhot.

While you are appreciating the astonishing natural scenery, you may also take part in exciting and rare activities such as horse riding, wrestling and release lanterns (costs approximately 15 Yuan per lantern).

Tonight you will stay over night in a Mongolian yurt which will make the experience unique and memorable. 

Detailed Itinerary: After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Resonant Sand Gorge. You will have lunch en route.

The Resonant Sand Gorge (Xiangshawan) is located in Kubuqi Desert which is 50 kilometers from Baotou of Inner Mongolia. The sand gorge is famous for its resonating sand dunes which can range from 30ft to 40ft in height.

There are a lot impressive activities to enjoy such as desert train, sand slide and camel ride. You can also experience the local marriage customs of Mongolian people.

After dinner, you’ll stay overnight at a hotel.

Detailed Itinerary: After breakfast, your sightseeing will begin with a visit to Mausoleum of Genghis Khan.

The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is a famous historical relic in Inner Mongolia. It is located in Xinjie Town, Ejen Khoruu Banner, Ordos City in Inner Mongolia. The mausoleum is devoted to the worship of Genghis Khan, a legendary hero in ancient China who united nomadic tribes in Mongolian prairie and laid the foundation for the unification of China. As a national heritage site of Ordos, Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is a must-see attraction for people traveling to Ordos.

After lunch, you will continute to visit Medaizhao Lamasery.

Medaizhao Lamasery is located around 80 km east of Baotou City. It was one of the most important centers for disseminating Tibetan Buddhism in Inner Mongolia. It is also a great attraction to study Mongolian history of religion, architecture and arts for tourists.

Afterwards, you will be transferred back to Hohhot.

Detailed Itinerary: After breakfast at hotel, you will visit the last destination, the Inner Mongolia Museum.

Inner Mongolia Museum is a regional museum located in the city center of Hohhot. Founded on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 1957, the Inner Mongolia Museum is a great place to get to know the history and culture of Mongolian people. Among its collections, the most amazing part should be the precious collections of fossils and dinosaur remains found in both Inner Mongolia and Outer Mongolia. The museum is home to a Chagannuoer dinosaur, which is the biggest dinosaur living in the cretaceous age.

After lunch, we will move to a local souvenir market on Zhongshan Road for shopping.

Then your guide will transfer you to the airport for departure for Beijing. 

Detailed Itinerary: You are free for your own leisure, after your guide will transfer you to Beijing Capital International Airport. Where your tour ends.
